Who is the actress that played in this movie?

It starts off in a home place with a nun. It was about a girl who works in a diner place and she it takes place in the winter when it's all snowy. And this guy she works with is really quite and he protects her one night when she walks home form the diner and they evintually fall in love he either dies, or almost dies from his heart being oversized because he had a heart transplant when he was a baby. It was a cheesy romance movie. But I really liked it. I think it was from the eaerly 90s.
