What instrument should I choose and should i do band or orchestra?

OK, I'm in seventh grade and I'm either gonna do band or orchestra, so I need to choose an instrument. My choices for band are drums, trumbone, french horn, oboe, clarinet, flute, and a few others if u think of one that i didnt name just ask me if the band has the instrument you thought of. OK, and for orchestra, my choices are violin, viola, cello, and base. I thought of playing the flute, drums, or french horn. I first wanted to do orchestra because the teacher is my fave teacher in school and they travel a lot of places. But in band there is more choices for instruments and all my friends do band. So please help me!!!
