Can someone help me form this sentence into a better one....?

When it comes to fashion back in Delaware, I am in a big pond yet know I am a small fish. Between trips back and forth from home - Teen Vogue and New York Fashion Week, for examples - I caught myself in a semi-trance of a dream that is still in the creation phase. Once I step foot on the bustling streets of what I call "home-away-from-home", I realize that I am not a small fish but am one of the sharks.
