Can somebody please summarize this page by Henry David Thoreau?
I think what he is basically saying is that if you have an opinion on something you should act on that opinion instead of just keeping it as an opinion. For example, if you think that it is bad to buy Nike shoes because you think it is wrong how they are produced, don't buy Nike shoes. In Thoreau's case, he disagreed with certain things going on in the United States, like slavery, and so refused to pay his taxes and was jailed. His opinion was that slavery was wrong and he believed that by paying taxes and supporting the government he was supporting slavery. Because this was "injustice to another" he acted on his opinion and broke the law.
