Should i have aquatic plants? If so what type?

I need a type of live aquarium that isnt alot of work, but is very easy to grow. I dont want to deal with all of the fertilizers and special lightings. Maybe a type of moss or something? I need something thats hardy and can stand up to angelfish. Do you think fake plants would be just as good? THANKS GUYS!!!
