Is there anyone that has been taking narcotic pain medication for more than two years willing to have a dialog?

I have been on narcotic pain meds for 8 years now. I am 56 yo. The drugs have helped me a great deal but I don't like the ual side effects. I don't have a moral thing against narcotic pain meds. Its just the ual thing. I happen to enjoy and don't like living without it. Anyone out there have similar experience? can we chat?
